HMS Bulwark visited the wonderful, wonderful city of Copenhagen for the second time in 18 months this week. Bulwark berthed at Freeport Quay - Kronloebsbassin for a 5 day visit. During her stay the ship’s crew took part in a range of sporting fixtures against local opposition and the ship played host to a number of official receptions and visitors. After completing 2 busy years as the UK’s High Readiness Amphibious Flagship Bulwark, is on her way home from a period of Winter Training in Norway. The ship last visited in June 2008 as part of her Baltic deployment.
Bulwark’s Commanding Officer, Captain Gavin Pritchard OBE said:
“We are delighted to have had another chance to visit the historic city of Copenhagen. After a busy start to the year the sailors and marines have enjoyed being able to have some time to relax and see all that Copenhagen has to offer’.
