Father Christmas Visits the Red Plum

Despite being many thousands of miles away from home, the ships company of HMS Endurance were delighted to see that Father Christmas had not forgotten them.  They have been very good all year, having worked hard during the ships major refit and been thrashed by FOST and he rewarded them by bringing lots of presents.  He was ably helped by a couple of Elves who had stowed away onboard, Able Elves Steph Maynard and “Chilli” Trebble.

Having been dropped off by the ships Lynx Helicopter, he made his way into the ship by Endurance’s unique penguin ordained funnel.  Having left his presents scattered in everyone’s cabins, he hitched a lift back to his sleigh in the ships boat. Endurance is spending Christmas in the Falklands before heading South in Early Jan to begin her work in the ice.
