FOOD WAS
JUST FOOD

Before I joined the Royal Navy, cooking was something my Mum did. There’s nothing quite as tasty as Mum’s home-cooked food. But all I could manage in the kitchen was pasta and corned beef, and even then I needed a hand!

A TASTE
OF HOME

That’s all changed now. The amazing training you have in the Royal Navy has taught me so much. Now I can do everything from baking to fine cuisine. When you’re miles from home, a proper meal makes such a difference – it boosts morale and lifts everyone’s spirits.

COOKING
ALL OVER
THE WORLD

My kitchen now takes me around the world, and I’ve achieved so much. I’m confident in myself – and in the kitchen. It doesn’t matter if I’m feeding my crewmates to set them up for the day, or we’re putting together a five-course feast for foreign dignitaries.

I wouldn’t have achieved half of what I’ve achieved if I wasn’t in the Navy.
