THE BEST
KIT
IN THE WORLD

I became a Royal Navy Submariner because I wanted to work with the best kit in the world. I didn’t give a second thought to the people I’d meet along the way. For me, it was all about pushing myself and getting my hands on some awesome equipment.

SPLIT-SECOND
CHOICES

I’m a Tactical Warfare Specialist, which means it’s my job to analyse what’s happening on the surface and underneath, then make split-second decisions that determine what the sub does next. And it doesn’t end there, because on a submarine you end up helping out all over the boat, doing whatever needs to be done.

A FEW MATES
BECAME MANY

The first mate I made was Buster. What a legend. We worked together, and had a right laugh when we were off duty. Two became three, and in no time, a few mates turned into many. As I worked side by side with my crewmates I got to know them, and they got to know me – on and off the boat.

I grew up with three brothers, now I’ve got 99 more
