The aim of the Expedition: To make the first ever ascent of the S.E Ridge of Makalu and go over the top - descending on the opposite side of the mountain.
The challenges: The South East Ridge is regarded as being more significant than the West Ridge of Everest and this comes from people who have climbed on Everest - in fact Sir Chris Bonington stated that he regarded it as the toughest proposition of all.
Did You Know: …. that more people have stood on the moon than climbed on the SE Ridge of Makalu.
