RMR Tyne

RMR Tyne is located at Anzio House in Newcastle, which is a converted warehouse on the north bank of the River Tyne near the city centre. Anzio House has a superb range of facilities for the Unit headquarters and Commando training, including a 15m climbing wall, assault course, fully equipped gym, jetty (for our Raiding Craft) and two helicopter landing sites.

The Unit’s permanent staff is made up of a 16 full-time Royal Marines Commandos and a small support staff who command, administer and train a much larger group of Reserve Commandos and recruits.

A small team from the Reserve Raiding Troop is also based here.
