RMR Merseyside
The Unit comprises a central Liverpool Headquarters made up of 15 permanent staff, a recruit Training Company and five regional Detachments to enable Reservists to be drawn from the main areas of population within the North West, North Wales and the Midlands. The main detachment is located alongside the HQ at Brunswick Dock, Liverpool. The remaining four detachments are based in Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and Leeds with representatives from Training Company based at each detachment.

Military experience
Jeff Moulton joined the Corps in 1988 and on completion of training served with 45 Cdo Gp RM, enjoying deployments to Norway and Operations in South Armagh and Northern Iraq as a Rifle Troop Commander.
Following a period in recruiting he joined the Commando Training Centre and experienced a spell in Commando Training Wing as a Recruit Troop Commander, Company 2ic and ultimately OC All Arms Commando Course.
On joining the reserve in 1996 he joined RMR Bristol, commanding the Cardiff Detachment, also qualifying as a MSI in that year. On completion of Junior Staff Training and rank realignment he was promoted to Major in 1999 and fulfilled an SO2 appointment in the MOD on 6 months FTRS in 2000.
Following 9/11, he was mobilised in 2002 for Operation Jacana in Afghanistan in support of 45 Cdo Gp, based at Bagram Airbase as the Media SO2 and spokesperson for the force.
The following year in 2003 he was again mobilised for Operation Telic 1 in Iraq, working with both 40 Cdo and 3 Cdo Bde HQ as the Media SO2. Following demobilisation, he again returned to the Gulf region for a brief spell on the staff of the United Kingdom Maritime Component Commander based in Bahrain.
In 2005 he took up an exchange appointment as a Company Commander with the Wales UOTC, before returning to RMR Bristol in 2006 as the Unit 2ic. In June of that year he was also appointed as Equerry to HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO, Honorary Rear Admiral, Commodore in Chief Maritime Reserves. Also in 2006 he completed Maritime Reserve Advanced Staff Training at the JSCSC Shrivenham.
After selection for promotion to LtCol, in 2007 he was appointed Commanding Officer of RMR Bristol on FTRS from April of that year. He relinquished this command appointment and that of Equerry on attending the regular Advanced Command and Staff Course 11, at JSCSC on FTRS in September of 2007.
Following successful completion of ACSC, he has worked on the staff of Commodore Maritime Reserves in NCHQ on a part and full time basis. He was appointed Commanding Officer RMR Merseyside on FTRS from February 2011.
Married to Kim, they have three children, Elizabeth 14, William 12 and Florence 10. In his civilian career he is a Company Director of a Retail Business in West Wales. A passionate rugby fan and former Corps player he also enjoys walking with the family and socialising with friends over good food and wine.
