The Royal Marines Reserve consists of approximately 600 trained ranks, who are distributed between the five main RMR Centres of London, Merseyside, Scotland, Tyne and Bristol.
Royal Marines Reserve Units
Each RMR Unit is sub-divided into RMR Detachments to enable reservists to be recruited from the main areas of population. These RMR Units are responsible for recruiting, selecting and training the volunteers drawn from their area.
Approximately 10% of the RMR are working with the Regular Corps on long term attachments in all of the Royal Marines regular units.
