          I have conducted numerous cold-weather training exercises, in places like Norway, and knew when we were cycling through the snow, it was dangerous. It was ok while we kept moving but if you stopped, given the lightweight clothing we were wearing we would have quickly suffered from hypothermia.

          Cougar task group returns having laid firm foundations

          The Navy’s key autumn deployment draws to a close today with the two ships which led it – flagship HMS Bulwark and carrier Illustrious – returning to their respective bases.
