Weekly Programme of Events and Activities
The Trevorder Families Centre is open to all members of the Armed Forces, Ex-Service Personnel, MoD employees and their families. Local non service persons are also welcome to use our facilities.
Trevorder Families Centre aims to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for families to meet, gain mutual support and have fun. We aim to provide a well balanced range of activities that cater for the needs of all of our users.
We have two thriving Youth Groups run by dedicated and qualified workers. These groups meet every Monday evening between 1730-1900 for young people aged between 6 and school year 6 and 1930-2100 for school years 7+. The excellent programme provides activities that introduce the young people to new experiences and informal education and also provide advice and support and fun!
The Pre-school Learning Centre offers children aged 2-4 years good quality childcare and early education in a happy and safe environment. A number of qualified and experienced staff run the facility which has passed many OFSTED inspections allowing the pre-school to increase its provision.
In addition, Trevorder Families Centre also offers parent and toddler groups and craft groups and plays host to a range of community projects including family groups, housing clinics, support and advice drop ins, Brownies and local education courses.
The Families Centre has a management committee and social committee of hardworking volunteers who give up their time to arrange groups, activities and functions for the local families. Events include family discos, pampering evenings and seasonal parties for Halloween and Christmas to name a few.
The Centre provides a range of activities day and night and is also available for use for private functions.
