Benefits
As well as all its incredible opportunities for travel, adventure, training and teamwork, a Royal Navy career has plenty of practical benefits too. You will get at least six weeks paid holiday each year plus public holidays. We provide all your medical and dental care free of charge, whatever your rank, job or where you're serving. Your food and accommodation whilst serving at sea is free. When working and living ashore we offer a choice of accommodation depending on your circumstances. We offer subsidised rented housing for married couples, those in civil partnerships and families with children.
Our pension package is one of the most generous offered by any UK employer. It is non-contributory and is based on your final salary and the amount of time you have served when you leave the service. When you leave the service, you may take advantage of our structured resettlement package, which currently includes 11 weeks paid holiday plus financial help depending on hour long you have served.
