Pay in the Royal Navy compares well with civilian life. As well as your basic pay, you will qualify for extra money for having specific skills, serving in certain specialist branches (in the Submarine Service and the Fleet Air Arm for example) and gaining new skills and qualifications.
Salaries and Scholarships
With our sponsorships, bursaries, cadetships and joining bonuses you don't have to choose between gaining higher qualifications and earning decent money. The pages within this section are full of information on rates of pay, financial help for further education or sixth form, apprenticeships and under-graduate schemes.
