Commando training is demanding, so it’s inevitable that some recruits pick up injuries through no fault of their own. Hunter Company is the Commando Training Wing’s remedial organisation, treating and rehabilitating recruits to get them back into mainstream training as soon as possible.

Who joins Hunter Company?
If it is decided that it’s in a recruit’s best interest or if he physically can’t continue with training, then he will be placed into Hunter Company. Here the focus will be on each individual’s requirements, and how to ensure a progressive return to full physical fitness.
How does Hunter Company work?
There are two main aspects to remedial training at Hunter Company.
1. Physiotherapy and a tailored rehabilitation routine. This is controlled and run by specialist physical training instructors who in addition to their usual responsibilities are highly qualified remedial instructors.
2. It’s also important that a recruit’s skills don’t fade despite being out of mainstream training. Hunter Company carries its own general military instructors who are responsible for maintaining a recruit’s subject knowledge no matter what week of training the recruit previously attained.
