Get In Touch

So you have called our number! Great! That’s the first step! Hopefully this will be between 09:00 and 21:00 Mon – Sun, in which case you will be greeted by a friendly voice, (our Adviser) they will tell you their name and will ask how they can help you.

If you would like to join up, or just learn a little more about life in the Senior Service the call will last at least 3 minutes.

Your adviser will want to know a bit about you too.

You will be asked a few obvious questions, Name, address, date of birth, contact details etc. and a few less obvious ones like………

What Nationality are you? How long have you lived in the U.K. or your present country of residence?

Did you have a particular career in mind?

For some job’s You must be a full British Citizen and for all Officer positions there are strict academic qualification criteria.

The Royal Navy has very many specializations for both Officers and Ratings but don’t worry if you are not certain, it’s best not to make a snap decision at this stage.

The adviser will confirm your general eligibility and send out a brochure detailing what you are able to apply for. They will also do their best to answer any initial questions you may have about the process. If you are calling from within the U.K. You will also be offered the chance to attend an Initial careers presentation at your nearest Careers Office.

These are a really great way of learning what life might be like for you when you decide to join. By this time you will have had your brochure and made your career choice, so the ICP is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may still have.

If you like what you see, you take the next step with the Careers Centre and book yourself in for a Recruitment Test.

If you are still not sure and need more time to think, or if you have seen enough and decided that this lifestyle is not for you..

No problem and no hassle. We don’t have press gangs anymore!
