Royal Marines Other Ranks
Highly motivated, self sustained and versatile, the Royal Marines with their coveted green beret are the Royal Navy's amphibious infantry. They are one of the world's most respected military units, with a set of attitudes and abilities you won't find anywhere else. On permanent readiness to deploy across the globe, operating in some of the most extreme environments, they provide a strategic capability that is unique among the armed forces of the UK. Specialisation to specific trades occurs after initial training, is the longest and toughest of any North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) force. Although physical fitness is vital, you need more than that to get through. They're looking for people with the right attitude and commitment to become a Commando - courage, determination, unselfishness and cheerfulness in the face of adversity. Show them these qualities, or the potential to develop them, and you'll be well on your way.
