Logistics Officer Scholarship Submariner
As a Logistics Officer, it's your job to make sure the crew have everything they need for a covert mission that could last several months. The supply situation will decide how long a submariner can stay underwater and away from land. This is crucial to keeping its position secret. You’ll be responsible for making sure your boat has everything it needs, when it needs it, to stay effective on operations. Leading a team of highly trained specialists, you’ll apply your organisational skills to stock your ship with supplies and equipment before leaving port, as well as drawing up plans for re-supplying at sea and on shore during the deployment. You’ll also be advising your Commanding Officer on personnel policy and legal and accountancy matters. When the ship goes into action, you’ll lead battle damage-control and first-aid teams. It’s a challenging but essential role that puts you at the very heart of everything we do, whether it’s providing humanitarian aid, enforcing international law or mounting joint combat operations.
